40 MUST DO's
May 14, 2019Life Begins at 40 (so I’ve heard)…so here’s my 40 MUST DO's
In our information rich world and pace of life, it’s easy to forget to take the time on some important and sometimes basic things that fuel us with energy…so here’s my top 40 must do's to focus on. Another thing on your to do list you might be thinking…I challenge you do at least 3 TODAY…what have you got to lose?
My 40 MUST DOs
1. SMILE at everyone today and watch them smile back 😀
2. Hydrate myself daily, drink at least two litres water
3. Make a happy playlist of my favourite songs
4. Sing out loud and/or dance to at least one of them
5. Give someone I love a “squeezy cuddle”
6. Write down 3 things I’m grateful for right now, practice this daily
7. Write down my #1 goal for the next 3 months
8. Read at least 1 chapter of a book
9. Go somewhere peaceful and focus on deep breathing for 5 mins using 4,4,8 (in for 4 secs, hold for 4 secs, out for 8 secs)
10. Take some time to think about my “Not To Do List”, what things I can automate, delegate or eliminate
11. Say at least one kind thing about myself to myself, repeat it saying it louder
12. MOVE for at least 20mins, walk, run, exercise, anything to get me moving
13. Take a mindful moment with nature
14. Go on a date night
15. Digital detox for at least ½ day
16. Send at least 5 thank you texts or emails
17. Take the time to sit down and really enjoy a meal
18. Get some vitamin D – go outside and soak up the sunshine
19. Believe in yourself a little more
20. Celebrate a recent achievement
21. Call a family member that I’ve not spoken to in a while
22. Pick a new habit and do it, something I’ve been meaning to do (a micro action will make a habit)
23. Declutter an area of mine either at work or home for 30mins
24. Fill unwanted quality items in a charity bag and donate
25. Do a task I’ve been putting off for a while
26. Download my photos and videos from my phone
27. Do one kind act of service for someone I love
28. Prep one thing for tomorrow
29. Eat my favourite food
30. Talk to myself…what one helpful thing could I do with hearing
31. Do something I absolutely love doing
32. Schedule ME time in my diary today
33. Have an early night
34. Reach out to someone who can help me with something
35. Do something fun with my family and/or friends
36. Treat myself to a rest and relaxation activity, massage, facial or something similar
37. Imagine it’s one year from now and I’ve had the best year, what does it look like, what has to have happened? Capture it, feel it, make it happen.
38. Book my next annual leave / holiday
39. Listen to something or someone that will inspire me
40. Write down 3 things I’ve learnt about myself whilst reading this
Keep this handy and keep ticking them off the list and see how it makes you feel. 😊
